 What Does Delayed Period Along With Headache And Dizziness Indicate? 

a sixteen year old female was put on birth control pills to start her period because she didn t have one for 3 to 4 months. now she is having problems with headaches, weight gain, nd dizziness. they keep taking pregnancy test and all come back neg. any suggestions what could be wrong? she goes to her obgyn.

Hi, I think the headache, weight gain and dizziness are side effects of birth control pills. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. You can first get her evaluated for irregular periods. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for uterus and ovaries done. Ignore can be due to polycystic ovaries. She can change over to a low dose birth control pills.
